Lipstick Tips 101
To avoid an obvious outline, use a pencil that's the same color or just slightly darker than your lipstick: Use a rust-colored pencil for peach and brown shades; Use rose for pinks, mauves, and fuchsias; Use red for blue-reds and orange-reds.

When you really want your favorite lipstick to last, first apply a dab of foundation to lips and blend in, then dust lips with translucent powder (the foundation/powder combo evens out lip tone, gives lipstick a base to adhere to, and makes color look truer to its shade).
